Title: Double Trouble
Artist/Band: ROBBIE LABLANC
Country: USA
Release date: 16/04/2021
Company: Escape Music
Style: Melodic Rock, AOR

Robbie (and his brother Brian) have been singing and playing instruments since age 3. Robbie’s first influences (besides his dad always singing and playing the guitar) were Trini Lopez and THE BEATLES. Shortly after, the influences were bands like CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL and GRAND FUNK RAILROAD. At the suggestion of a friend, a CD was sent to Frontiers Records and the two BLANC FACES records were done. Robbie then signed on to sing with the FIND ME project which has received some great reviews on all three releases. First ever solo record of the American singer Robbie LaBlanc is no classic AOR like people could expect but rather seventies-infused pop-rock. Written and produced by S.Overland, K.Turk and T.Denander. The songs are fresh and vibrant, just what we need in these troubling times and with Robbie’s powerhouse vocals leading the way then we are all in for a real treat. Influenced by QUEEN, BOSTON, KANSAS, ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA, STYX among others and also from late 70’s/early 80’s AOR/Melodic Rock era. Great cover art by Richard J. Jones, it reminds me 40’s film noir movies of director Fritz Lang. I choose tracks: Start The Motor Running”, “Never Let A Good Thing Go”, “Voodoo Woman”, “Temptation”, “My Lips Are Sealed”, “Better Man”, “The Sound Of The City”, “Just Say The Word”, “Here Today, Gone Tomorrow” and “Don’t Do Love”. Great feeling! I traveled to the endless valleys of melody of Robbie and his wonderful company!!! Another music DIAMOND!!!
